This Privacy Policy explains how NaviLark handles information when you visit the website, use the visa-free checker, or submit interest in a city.

1. Information Currently Processed

1.1 Website operation data

Servers, content delivery networks, and security services may process technical information needed to deliver pages, diagnose faults, prevent abuse, and keep the site reliable. This may include an IP address, request time, requested path, browser or device information, and security logs.

The current website code does not load a third-party audience analytics script, and we do not use operational data to build advertising profiles. If analytics is introduced later, this policy will be updated first and any legally required notice or consent mechanism will be provided.

1.2 Browser storage

The site uses localStorage or sessionStorage to remember the selected city, PWA installation prompt and dismissal state, page-view counters, temporary interface state, and city-section scroll restoration. This information remains in your browser, supports the user experience, and is not used for cross-site advertising. You can clear it through your browser site-data settings.

1.3 City interest submissions

When you actively select “I want to know about this city” for an unavailable city, we store the selected city, page language, entry source, IP address, User-Agent, and submission time. We use this to measure content demand, prevent abuse, and plan future coverage. The action does not ask for your name or email address.

1.4 Visa-free checker

Passport, itinerary, and port selections entered in the visa-free checker are used only to evaluate the current request. The current site does not save those answers as a personal itinerary. Servers or security infrastructure may still create technical logs necessary to complete the request.

1.5 Information you provide

If you contact us at contact@navilark.com, we process the email address, questions, suggestions, corrections, and attachments that you choose to send so that we can respond. Please do not send unnecessary passport, medical, financial, or other sensitive information.

2. Purposes and Retention

We process information only to provide site functions, remember local preferences, respond to messages, measure city-content demand, maintain security, diagnose faults, and comply with applicable law. Information is retained only as long as reasonably needed for those purposes, unless law requires otherwise.

3. Cookies and Similar Technologies

NaviLark currently does not use cookies for advertising, cross-site tracking, or user profiling. The browser-storage uses are described above.

4. Infrastructure and External Links

The site may use infrastructure providers such as Cloudflare for hosting, content delivery, security, and performance. These providers may process technical information necessary to provide their services. The site also links to third parties such as Trip.com, maps, transport services, app stores, and payment services. After you follow a link, that provider processes information under its own policy.

5. Affiliate Links

Some pages contain affiliate links to Trip.com or other platforms. NaviLark may receive a commission if you book through them, without increasing your price. The relevant page discloses the affiliate relationship.

6. Children

NaviLark is intended for general travelers and is not directed specifically to children. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information so that we can review the request.

7. Your Rights and Contact

You may contact contact@navilark.com to ask how information is handled, request access to, correction of, or deletion of information you submitted, withdraw consent where processing legally relies on consent, or raise a privacy concern. Exceptions required by applicable law may apply.

8. Policy Updates

We will update this policy and its effective date when features, providers, or legal requirements change. Continued use alone does not replace explicit consent where consent is legally required. A clear notice and choice will be provided for any such processing.
